There are several ways to use new tab pages in Internet Explorer 8. New tab pages are useful for keeping multiple websites open in a single window. That way you reduce the number of items on your taskbar and can quickly switch between websites by clicking on the associated tab. In this tutorial, we will look at basic use of new tab pages in Internet Explorer 8. 1.      Open Internet Explorer. 2.      On the tab row, click the New Tab button next to the open tab. You can open as many tabs as you like by clicking on this button. 3.      In the address bar, type the address of the website you want to navigate to. NOTE: You can also open a link in a new tab page by right-clicking the link and clicking Open in New Tab. If you no longer need a tab, you can close it by clicking the Close Tab button in the far right corner of each tab. That’s it for using new tab pages. If there are websites that you regularly visit, it may be useful to add them as a favorite (also known as a bookmark) in Internet Explorer 9.  By adding these links, you can quickly navigate to them at a later stage without having to type in the full URL or website address every time. 1.      Open Internet Explorer 9. 2.      In the address bar at the top of your screen, type in the website address you would like to add to your favorites list and press the Enter key. 3.      Your selected website will be displayed. 4.      In the top right-hand corner of the window, you will see three icons.  The middle image is a star, which allows you to access your favorites, any RSS feeds you may have as well as a history of all the websites you have recently visited. 5.      Click the star to display a list of your favorite links.  You may see existing favorite links or folders containing links.     6.      To add this website to the list, click the Add to Favorites

Speed Up Internet Explorer Load Time

Image
Here's a quick tip for those of you that always find yourself anxiously waiting for Internet Explorer to start up.  Don't wait for it - use Chrome!   It is a faster browser.  With that said, I am actually going to help you improve IE's boot up time. Launch Internet Explorer. Go to the 'Internet Options' menu (Alt+T -> O). Click the 'Programs' tab. Click 'Manage add-ons' There will be a list of various toolbars, extensions, etc. that are add-ons to Internet Explorer.  You may need to scroll horizontally, but there will be a column labelled 'Load time'. Click that column header to sort by load time. Now you know which add-ons are causing the most delay and you can disable them if they're not important to you. A few words of caution though:  Be careful that you don't disable antivirus plugins unless you're certain it's ok. If you've any question, problem, suggestion and feedback than please comment
